Lsusb, I get the following line that relates to my dongle. I re-installed, and made sure to check that box, and that did not change anything. The first time I installed the OS, I forgot to check the button that says to install third party software for wifi devices, or something to that effect. The computer does have a ethernet port, but I only have access to the internet via wifi. I only have the usb wifi dongle, no other way to connect the computer to the internet. I have done some reading online and this is the information I have: The installation seemed to work fine, but in the wireless settings, it says "no wifi adapter found". I used DBAN to wipe the hard drive on a computer and installed Ubuntu 18.04 from a USB bootable drive.
